Android Question Updating App

Hi

I have increased the version number of my app under Project Attributes, and in the Manifest file.

Yet, when I try to load it to Google Play Console it fails with the message.

"You need to use a different version code for your APK because you already have one with version code 1."

Is there somewhere else I need to update the version number? Do I need to rename the package?

Have you changed the VERSION CODE? maybe you've changed the version name.

Ok, then recompile and make sure you are uploading the correct APK.

I didnt recompile, thats probably it.
