iOS Question URL cannot be found when installing B4i Bridge

When I key in the IP listed below (tried several times paying attention to the typos) using Safari on my iPhone5, I get an error that the URL cannot be found.

I believe that I have all the required files in my Key folder.

Any ideas?

I first got the same error on my iPhone. I tried entering the IP in Safari (on my Windows computer) to test it and also make the screen shot for this thread. If I am using correct logic, the IP should have worked in my iPhone5 or with Safari in my windows computer?

Plus, now when I try to build the bridge.

Safari004.jpg

This is from the same saved project as yesterday, including the Keys files. As you can see from my original post, this compile dialog did not have the Build Failed error. If I start over and I do not get the build error, but the IP in the build window is invalid again, what do you suggest?

No, I made new keys. This is because I have a new iPhone5 and before I had an iPhone3 with a different UDID. Was this required?

I also now made a new project with your Keys. The build compile did not give me an error. But I still got the invalid URL error when keying the IP into my iPhone. The WiFi in the phone does work.

When I entered the IP in Safari in my Windows computer, I got the install app file. (Below.) I think the problem is that I can't get it into the phone. When I did the B4A bridge, my phone opened as a device in Windows and I was able to drag files to Local Storage in my phone.

Thanks...

I think that what is missing is that the bridge app is not installed in my iPhone5. I think that the installation for this app is failing because of Safari cannot open…when I enter the IP shown above. Instructions after building B4i Bridge, using Erel's keys:

Open mobile Safari and navigate to: 63.135.170.51:51041/xxxxxxx (I used the letter and numbers from the dialog box.)

When entering Sending data to remote compiler. “Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.”

Please answer this question:

When I enter the IP above, using Safari on my iPhone, should Safari be able to open the page?

Thank you for your continued help,

Yes, my iPhone has internet. When I key the IP into Safari, it continues to say the the page cannot be found.

However, I found something by accident. After several dozen attempts at keying in the IP into my phone and a couple others, I texted the IP to a friend with an iPhone and it worked. I found that after the IP was keyed into a text app and then copy and paste it into Safari, the browser then treats it as a web address and opens the page.

I do not know why but it seems to make a difference to Safari in my phone.

I do not see it in this thread since you advised not posting it. However, please do not delete it. I will be very careful in the future.
