Android Question usb camera question

I have a camera like an endoscope that connects to a Android phone via usb-c. I didn't see anything in the camera , camera2 lib to open a camera that is connected to the usb port. I probably missed something but wanted to check if the lib supports that.

Camera and Camera2 work with the internal camera. Assuming that the external camera is not treated as an integrated camera by the OS, then these libs will not help.
