Using RAPI / Activesynch

I have been experimenting with RAPI and have been able to connect and transfer files between Device and Desktop no problem. But.... I would like to be able to do away with the need to manually start up ActiveSynch and select "Connect via IR", etc.... and then load the RAPI application on the desktop.

So my question is.....is there a way that from a B4PPC application on the Device can automatically (eg. after an event) establish an IR connection with the desktop through ActiveSynch (in background ?), without the need for the user to manually open ActiveSynch and do it?

Thanks in advance.

Almost..but not quite.

Thanks Erel,

I had already come across that site as well as a number of others with basically tyhe same info. But as you suggest, it looks like it won't work.

Other sites I found speak about the REPLLOG.EXE file on the device to activate ActiveSync. It says to use the "/remote" command line switch when running REPLLOG. I've had a play, but I can't seem to find how to run REPLLOG with a command line switch either manually on the device or from B4P.

Thanks,
Burd.

Short update..

Have worked out how to run REPLLOG with command line prompts from B4P now okay.

Activesync now runs, but I am still yet to find out how to run "Connect Via IR" or "Connect via Bluetooth" automatically.

Still searching the web, but haven't found the answer yet. But I have noticed that at least since 2005, there are plenty of others wanting the same info. The only sites that might have the answer buried in it (which I don't understand) are....

Do these make any sense to anyone else on the forum?

In hope...
