Videorecordapp.Record , records 8 second video showing a message "maximum record time limit reached". Can this be changed? Can i set that limit programmatically? Its good to have total record time limit because in my app that mp4 is uploaded to a ftp location, so it must be controlled that way. But 8 sec is too small, at least 15" max time is needed.

Try the attached updated Audio library (v1.33). It includes a method named Record2 which allows you to set the maximum video length. Note that this parameter is supported by Android 2.2+.

The maximum length is in seconds, right? Seems not to be working here on Android 2.3.3. The recorder continues beyond the limit set.

Yes. This value is sent in the intent. Your device recoding app probably ignores it.
