Android Question Webview control read only

Hi,
I need to have a webView read-only.
I have tried to set webview.enabled=false
I have tried to put in front of it a panel
I have tried to put on it a label large as the webview
but all my attempts are ruined, I load the google home and I can write on the search edit always
