B4J - TextWriter Documentation https://www.b4x.com/b4j/help/files.html#textwriter The documentation is unclear for B4A as well. In section 15.9.6 Text Encoding of the B4 Beginners guide (v3.2), UTF-8 encoding is given with a dash between UTF and 8. But in the example there is no dash. But when Windows-1252 is specified in the example, the dash remains. Is it "UTF8" or "UTF-8"? "Windows-1252" or "Windows1252"? "UTF16" or "UTF-16" ?

It doesn't matter. All of them will work. Supported encodings: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/technotes/guides/intl/encoding.doc.html Upvote 0
