What is buildNativeView and how do you use it?

I noticed this function in VideoView and AdView but no explanation is given.
Does anybody know what it does?

It's in the Audio v1.30 library as a VideoView member.

I see it now. This method should not have been listed. It is used internally by the views that are created with the designer.
