Android Question Where is the best place to save files?

I am DOWNLOADING .txt type files to my device to edit and then UPLOAD again.
Where is the best/obvious/correct place to save data related to my apps?

Thanks Erel. Will File.DirInternal be a common directory to all programs, or is it local/isolated to each app?
