RandomCoder, what do you say about creating an Icon Editor for the competition?
(Maybe it is a little bit too difficult)
Erel, I love the idea but when you say
'maybe it is a little too difficult' I think that you have under emphasised it, I'd have said its bloody hard :sign0148:
Hey but I'm up for the challenge so long as your going to show us what you can do too
I'm just sorry that I haven't done much with the competition since I suggested it, I'm going through a difficult time fighting for my kids at the moment. Having something like this is good for me because it takes my mind of things for a while.
Anyway, enough of my waffling on about my life, here's a few links that I've found regarding the Icon file format. Most of it is just the same as your link although put a slightly different way. I always find it's best to have several different peoples spin on things as it often helps to clarify the finer detail.

And attached is also a very detailed explanation of the Icon File (of which I couldn't be bothered to read it all).
Errrr.....guys, ideas for the editor?
And Stellaferox, just to keep you happy and not wanting to venture too far :sign0006: I've spent some time tonight trying to find a half decent Icon editor for the device and managed to come across this...

I've downloaded it on my device and all appears to work as it should although I've not properly had time to play with it yet and you also need to download a run-time for it form here

Hope its what you were after, and for the rest of us it gives us an idea of how it can be done.
Regards,
