Although I have used the development languages mentioned for years, I agree with the comments in the footer.

Well, that was a weird article. Obviously SEO content meant to promote their logging product.

When talking about PHP, I can't avoid talking about open source applications written in PHP such as WordPress, Joomla, OpenCart and so on. And also some open source frameworks like Laravel and Yii. Some developers may love them but for someone like me who has less experience with these products, I feel frustrated with them.

It is hard to dissemble the car parts like engine and chassis and then modify from there. If I want to create a PHP web service, I will use plain vanilla PHP to build it from scratch instead of using the above products.

Problem solved!
Yes, solved. But if is it a big commercial project that must be supported 24/7 by any developer (extra hired one any time) ?
IMHO, at this situation the server side should be on PHP or other "standard market" one...

IMHO - I always think that the driver to any business should always look at what is in the market and then that business should sell what people want. In most cases the market dictates which areas there is potential to make a buck and not. If people will not buy what you are selling one should look for what people are buying and enter that market head on. In most cases what we want is usually different than what people want, which means we put our wants aside and attend to what people want and are willing to pay for it.

what people want
If buyer here is a business - it may don't care what server backend is, PHP or not. The question will be the cost and the update speed. But this means the programmers market and cost.
And how to calculate by the business the cost of a million of PHP programmers and 10.000 of B4X programmers...

I guess, it may be difficult to find 1-2 other non-occupied B4X developers for a whole business (B4X) project urgently if you (or another initial B4X developer) cannot support the system further now... This fact always ... pushes me to a panic, before any my project start.... :(

Perhaps minus in-active accounts etc etc, honestly I don't know the number too, but at least its more than 10K. Thing is also finding the right person for the job, at the right time, at the right place, at the right price. That's very important and I get it and understand its just an example you were making.

In my home country South Africa, I only know of 4+ other people who are here in the forum and active, we are all more that 2K kilometres away from each other too.
