What printer are you using?

it should be somethign like:
Printer.WriteLine(Chr(27) & "!" &Chr(8+16) & "Character Font A emphasized and double height" & CRLF)
Printer.WriteLine(Chr(27) & "!" &Chr(8) & "Character Font A emphasized" )

I use this: xprinter XP-Q200, 80mm and this NT-5802LD 58mm

still I think it will work.. if it doesn't post you code here.
