Not much : my AnyWhereSoftware's folder's size is 16 MB + Java's SDK folder (about 600 MB) + your additional libraries + Android SDK (mine is 9 GB)

So I think that at least a 32 GB SSD could be enough and the cheapest, a 128 GB could be enough to handle many projects. I personnally have 1 TB SSD but have seen good performances (to be checked with others opinions) with hybrid SsHD

With the availability of external HDD's, NAS boxes and online storage it is not such a big problem if you later find that more storage is required.

also compare prices of the laptop with regular hd & ssd. in most cases it's still cheaper to order a hd one and replace the ssd yourself.

250Gb ssd is around €90 these days

Anyone looking to build an entirely new PC should look to see if their finances will stretch to either an M.2 or U.2 drive (make sure to get the NVMe version for greatest speed gain). These drives utilise the PCIe lanes and are even faster than traditional SATA SSD's. But they're not cheap!

128 gb ssd with 8gb ram and an older i7 processor.
Easily run 4 instances of b4a and 2 genymotion windows at the same time.
Compiles and deploys faster than i can switch windows!

I recently did a rebuild .. Win10 / 250GB SSD / 8GB RaM with my old i5 cpu.

My biggest surprise was lightning fast loads of some old VB6 projects. like instant.
