the future of Bluetooth Connectivity is BLE.

Android doesn't yet support BLE. The link refers to a Motorola SDK that will only work with (some) Motorola devices.

I am interested in a BLE library as well. Please forgive me, as I am not terribly knowledgeable, but would either of these be useful?
