Newbie to Basic4ppc App.(6.5)

I downloaded the open source (GPS-Astro).
In my case GPS-Astro does not work at all on desktop.

ERROR: An error occurred on sub main.mnuconnect_click.

Unable to load Dll gpsapi.dll:The specified module could not be found.
(Exeption from HRESULT:0x8007007E) Continue?

The application employs the latest GPSDriver.dll in that it will run on WM5 and WM6.x devices only.

Here a precise question.
How can we make this work? I am not sure how to do this, a solution is needed.

PC: Laptop CoreDUo, Windows XP SP2 E
PPC:hp5555/WM2003
Bluetooth Clip on:Fortuna Gps

In my case astro-gps does not work at all on desktop.

Your query is vague and lacking in detail that might let us even start to help . A link to whatever this "astro-gps/GPS Tester" thingy is might at least give a clue.

Nevertheless from the information given it is possible to state that as gpsapi.dll is not available on any desktop anything trying to use it will never work.

The GPSDriver library can only work on a WM5 or WM6 device.
You will need to use Serial2.dll together with GPS.dll for older devices.

Downd a few manuals and made some changes to App.

Using Tools - Components, I removed GPSDriver and added Serial2.dll and GPS.dll to device and desktop. Still getting negative results.
I would like to make this work for Destop Xp and PPC WM2003 using Clipon Bluetooth. For Private use with the PPC
Uploaded origanal File, it would be nice if someone can help me with this.
Inputs, suggestions for improvements, bug-reports, test/results and small talk are welcomed!

GetGPSData and the other GPS methods you are using are part of GPSDriver.
I recommend you to go over the above tutorial and try the attached program. It shows how to work with Serial2 and GPS libraries.

We are using VB6 and know the Basics!!! But, there are some diff. with the Basic4PPC App.
I still cant make hair nore hide of this, it sure be cool if you could work on this.:sign0161:
