I could even initiate a chmod and change the file to read only after it has been created. Does anyone know a way to do this. I have tried the su library and it looked like it would but no change. example Code: Dim su As SuCommand su.SuCommand("chmod 600 /mnt/sdcard/profile.ini") Thank You Last edited: Jan 7, 2013

Is there a location that the app can write to and the permissions are set automatically. or Does B4A have a setReadable(boolean readable, boolean ownerOnly) I saw this under this link: File | Android Developers Thanks to ALL as usual.
