Android Question Use microphone in background

Hi
I 'm try to creat voice assistant app,i want when the app is running in background and wating to hear a word like"Hi" and then when it occur the app show message.
It 's a simple version of google voice assistant .
I couldn't find a way to use and run microphone in background:/
Is this possible ?

You can use AudioStreamer from a foreground service. I'm not sure how you will combine it with speech recognition.
