Android Question Abstract Designer vs Design on Tablet vs Running the App

Hi,

Could someone please point me in the right direction, obviously I am making a mistake somewhere.

When designing the Layouts/Screens, the screen does not fill the space for the target device I have set.

Please see the files attached.

Your help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

You are not using anchors correctly.
The resolution of the tablet for designer and the running app are different.

The edit fields need to have left right anchors set.
For the button, I normally set the size and then use
btn.horizontalcenter = 50%x
