Android Question Adding Borders to HomeScreen Widget Views

Is it possible for the widget base panel ( or other views ) to have a border.
I have added borders within Designer .. but no success.

I have found nothing within forum to shed any light on this .

The designer border will not work. You can add an ImageView with the border as a bitmap.
