Android Question Alerter lib and #AdditionalJar: androidx.appcompat:appcompat does it worth?

Hi, I liked what I saw testing the Alerter lib and decided to add it to my app.
It works but the app wheight grows to 5.5Mb from 4.4Mb
I had to add #MultiDex to compile it
and the compiling time grows a lot.
Does it worth wile?
