Bug? all B4 progs show error on startup after Windows NET update

Hello,
After the NET framework security and quality rollup KB 4055532 and malicious software tool KB 890830 updates installed today 10.1 on win 7 64bit machine all B4X programs open with errors, the problem seems to be that the saved paths for java etc were deleted and can no longer be saved. The Error Message at startup reads "Der Typeninitialisierer für "ct" hat eine Ausnahme verursacht."
Is this a known problem ?

It looks like a problem in the update itself. Check the comment by gpetrou:

Based on that one, which I don't know whether it is correct or not, there was a newer update that fixes the issue.

Just got the faulty update yesterday, no new updates available at this time.
I'll give it a few days to see if any update gets released.

There are many reports of similar issues over the internet.

The solution for now is to uninstall KB4055532 update.

I had a similar problem today.
I uninstalled the .netFramework 4.7.1 update KB4055002 ( https://github.com/0xd4d/dnSpy/issues/692 ) and now everything works again.

Installation of following with windows update solve the problem for me, without uninstall any previous update.
Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 on Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (KB4074906)
