Android SDK installation

I just bought Basic4android and I cannot get the Android SDK stuff to open to allow me to fetch platforms and tools as the Getting Started pdf details. When I click on SDK Manager.exe, all I get is a DOS window that appears and then quickly disappears (I use XP, SP3). I don't see a forum on the Android SDK pages and there is no contact information. Surely others have had this problem. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

You should try running the SDK manager from the command line. I hope that it will allow you to see the error message.

Yes, I read the info in the Beginner's Guide - it was the same info you gave a link to. The problem was that Java did not set the PATH properly. When I did this manually, then it worked like it should. Thank you.
