Android Question Android version 4 app test

Hi to all,
Which is the suggested Android version in order to test the apps ?
My friend that work in the app dev & testing told me that is better to test apps on Android 4.04.

I'm testing my apps on the lastest Android released from Google on my Nexus 4.

What do you think about ?

Test your apps on whatever version you have available, Android is backwards compatible, so, if it looks good on A version it will look good on B version, unless of course your app uses features found only on higher SDK levels.
