Wish API Key for GooMaps

A wish: A Klaus booklet on getting and using an API Key for Google Maps.
I had completely forgotten how much trouble it had caused me when Google changed the rules surrounding Google Maps a few years ago. I had to upgrade an existing App, a nightmare!
The Google instructions do not match what results on the screen when you do what the instructions tell you.
Step X step instructions with screen shots by Klaus would be infinitely better than convoluted stuff that the Google boffins dream up.
Please Klaus, we need your tuition skills aimed for the lowest denominator. Me!

I agree with you, but Google in recent years has changed quite a few policies and other changes are expected for googleMaps and Android.

It is better to be informed of these current changes and of those that will come in the future the software developer.

Statements like that always make me feel better. I too, seem to think differently than many programmers. I don't do it wrong, just different.
