Android Question App must wait or stop

My app has a lot to do when it is somparing 2 databases. On my tablet no problem. On my phone, a Samsung A55, it last I think too long. So the phone says that I can wait or close the app. It says that the app don't react. When I click on wait, the message keep returning. I don't want to close and stop the app. That ib obvious..
How can I prevent the phone is thinking that the app is not reacting anymore, while it is doing a great thing?

at the very least, you need to move your comparison job to a service. (maybe even a foreground service is needed.) you might also want to consider if comparing databases is a suitable operation for a phone.
