Made this App for Mercy Ships in Africa so they can use there smartphone to send and receive text messages,use the GPS of the Smartphone to send position and display position of others.
It uses the Kenwood 2 way radio's like a modem because cellphone coverage is poor .It uses wifi or bluetooth to connect with the radio, i use cheap wifi modules with a serial port that can act as accespoint or a bluetooth serial module.
I am new to programming , made it thanks to all examples and articles on the forum.
