Android Question Array dimensions exceeded supported range. Please help to resolve.

while compiling i am getting this error. the same was posted in old threads. but there was no solution. Hence again posted. while compiling i am getting this error.


B4A Version: 13.40
Parsing code. (0.04s)
Java Version: 19
Building folders structure. (0.02s)
Compiling code. Error
Array dimensions exceeded supported range.

Please help to resolve.

Are you using a layout file that was not made with the internal designer?
Try opening the layout files that you use in the internal designer (NOT in Scenebuilder) and you will see which one gives the mentioned error.

Culprit, corrupted layout file.

It happens in my b4a project what i did is i overwrite the b4a file from my previous backup, only the project file, and re-add again all the b4xpage or modules files created, and it works, i backup from time to time the project file of my updates in my work if ever it will display again the error "array dimension....." i will overwrite the project again and it works on my latest project.

I have worked with B4J and B4A for more than 15 years and I have never had that error message - it must be a rare situation that causes it.
However, backing up everything is always a very good practice.
