Since B4A 6.8 my B4A libraries do no longer compile (Alt+5), ending up in an error message like "access to *.xml prohibited". Rolling back to B4A 6.5 resolves the issue.
The properties say "read-only". That could be the cause. Every new folder I create is read-only by default.
Upgraded to Windows 10 very recently and need to find out how to remove that read-only attribute as Administrator or so.

Put it under Documents or any other path which W10 doesn't pretend is read-only. Remember, it is the master you are the slave...sigh!
I use to have a c:\development\b4x... path structure where each b4x has its own tree complete of code, libraries, etc.
How right you are. Just tried an hour to set the HD to full control. It says it can't save the new access settings.
Windows 10 has so many security issues demanding security measures that render a PC virtually unusable. I do feel like a slave, indeed.
Anyway, you saved me much time as placing the Additional Libraries folder under Documents works without system complaints.

Under Windows 10 you should use the Documents folder OR any other HDD drive than C:
I usually use E: (for Entwicklung; German for Development) and i have B4A, Android SDK, Android Studio, Eclipse, all my proects, all my Librarysources. All of them are installed on Drive E:

Having only one HD drive partition, I followed udg's advice which solved the problem magnificently. Yes, the Documents folder is good for additional libraries.
Man wird so alt wie ne Kuh und lernt immer noch dazu.
