Android Question B4A, storing simple numbers?

Hi, I'm a complete newbie to B4A, and am trying to write a simple app to log fuel consumption in my campervan.

I have managed to get a basic app running, but have come to a dead stop when trying to persistantly store the mileage as an integer and fuel consumption as a float. I have searched for the last 2 days but can only find what are to me very complex methods using databases and other stuff I have difficulty following.

Is there a simple way to persistantly store two numbers and recall them easily?

I would appreciate any answers in baby steps- I don't yet have enough knowledge of B4A to fill in many gaps, my last programming was many years ago in quickbasic4.5!

Thanks Douglas- I have downloaded the zip file for keyvaluestore, but there is nothing to say what I do with it now.

Where do the files go, and is there some way of letting B4A know about them?

i suggest to start at the beginners guide and then followed by the user-guide (both written by Klaus)
