iOS Question [b4i] DocumentPickerViewController alternative ?

Hello,
As i begin ios dev, i discover the ios env.

Is there a way to scan media files on a ios device and show the list to open with videoplayer ?
At the moment, i use DocumentPickerViewController but if think the url is given for a copy of the original file.
It duplicates space used for the media ?
is the url permanent ? i would like to keep url for a file ?

You cannot directly access files outside of your app folders.

No such guarantee. Copy the file to File.DirLibrary if needed.
