iOS Question Background location tracking problem

I used the attached example to write the data to a file. I have tested it in release several times, but the file is only updated, if the app is in the forground...Am i missing something?

Your code looks correct. Do you see the location tracking icon?

Have you tried to use iReleaseLogger to see the logs in release mode?

You need to make sure that the UpdateLabel sub is called.

I have tested it in two different apps, but in both the same behavior: The location tracking icon is always disabled, after perhaps 8 seconds after doing the app in the background. To make sure, that the UpdateLabel-Sub is called, I always changed my gps-location. I use a iphone 6+ with ios 9.3. In the settings, the app is marked as 'always location tracking'....The releaselogger only shows the logs, if the app is in the forground. In the background, no logs, no loction tracking icon and no updates of the textfile...
