It has already been stated many times that no other platforms have any planned releases.

I hope he changes his mind because adding iOS will make it the ultimate suite.

He may even get the market share in mobile development software.

Focusing on a single platform has many advantages and is one of the reasons that Basic4android is a powerful solution for Android.

I totally agree. No need iOS at all.

Are you aware of NS Basic/App Studio? It creates apps for both ios and android. I use both but think B4A is a better choice for android apps.

You realise NS Basic is just a wrapper around Javacript/HTML5? That's how they target several platforms. Not a workable solution IMHO if you want native code performance. B4A is unlike anything out there since you end up with native Java code.

I tried DragonFireSDK for iOS development (which uses Visual Studio and C++). It was nowhere near as good as B4A - this coming from a Windows Mobile developer of many years who knows C++.

Good point but I was only offering an alternative for rleiman to create ios apps. I have had a measure of success with both platforms but by no means would consider myself a "real programmer". However, NSB does offer the user an option to build native apps with phonegap.

Thank you, Erel. B4A is the anchor for my android version and very, very capable of doing what I need but since 'Basic' is the only language I am comfortable with, I needed something for an ios version, even with its limitations.

Real Studio have been working on a native IOS compiler for the last two years. I believe they also looked at Android but nothing has come of it.

Thread ressurection!! Is it that time of year again? See this thread for more discussions http://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/basic4iphone.25572/#post-192475

What Developers have to remember is that Android is fairly open and accesible whereas iOS isn't, it's a major stumbling block.
