changing label.text edittext.text by programm

Hi there,

I try to change the text of labels and edittext composed with the designer in main.bal in the Activity_create sub, but it does not work.

I am new at this platform but I know a lot of VB.
In VB I can change the text of labels in forms easily...but not in B4A.

What do i have to do? :BangHead:

Have you declared the relevant views:

This will allow you to access the views from code.
