Wish Clear Log in IDE

I know the log that appears in the IDE is a download from the device and the IDE can't access the device and clear the Log. I have read some of the posts but can't see this suggestion.
What would be nice is if the IDE could filter download and display only the part since the Clear Log button was actioned.

Trivial wish but would give the Log a cleaner look,
