A color dialog box where I can choose a color will be nice in my CAD program
The DesktopOnly library includes such a control (desktop only): DesktopOnly
I need one for the handheld. Remember I am a Land Surveyor......I need it in the field!:sign0148:
you might have a look at the icon editor from klaus http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/share-your-creations/1715-icon-editor.html#post9360.
His form frmColorPalette does exactly what you need.
I'm sure if you ask klaus that you want to copy some of his work he wouldn't say no...
It's too complicated!:sign0148:
I confirm if you want to use the code in the IconEditor you can.
Even it looks complicated to you. It tries to reproduce the ColorPalette of Windows.
I am waiting for the new Module feature in the next version of B4PPC, so this kind of code can be put into a module and reused by anyone with almost no need of adaptation.
Thanks for letting me use your coding for the color dialog.:sign0060:
Any idea when the new version of B4PPC with the module option will be ready?
According to Erel's hopes the beta version will come in september.
A beta version will be released in a couple of months (2-3).
Here you are, this might do in the meantime http://www.basic4ppc.com/forum/additional-libraries/2751-colordialog-device.html#post15356
This could be rated as a sabotage to the form from klaus...
... just kidding ... thank you agraham :sign0142:
Klaus' implementation is much more sophisticated. I deliberately didn't try to match his but just provided something usable simply and quickly.
Agraham's ColorDialog does the job and is much easier to implement than mine that needs to copy the form and the code.
I had tried to reproduce the Windows ColorDialog so the user feels familiar with it.
