Please try to compile with Alt + 3 and see whether it hangs or not.
Please try to run B4J with logs enabled. The logs will be saved to C:\temp\log.txt
You need to run B4J with -log parameter (you can add it with a shortcut).

This is a scene builder issue. I don't think that it is related to B4J IDE.I also noticed something maybe unrelated but I sometimes have 2 or 3 processes of the scene builder running, even if the scene builder is closed .
