Java Question Comunication between a service and b4a

Just wondering if the "Example of #Extends in Service" is still the best way to pass on information from a service-wrapper to B4A?

In the past, I have been using Broadcasts to do this but I ran into some problems due to the enhanced restrictions (read implicit broadcasts) introduced with SDK 26 although it is resolvable by converting them into explicit ones.

hmm, why you are not raising an Event in the Listener? Maybe add a Listener at all...

So far I have written customized (ad-hoc) java-code for these services but I wanted to write a new wrapper from scratch making it more flexible..

Using #Extends is the best option. Otherwise you need to have another service that is started from the first service and it it is more difficult to make it work reliably.

Just in case you find the same problem, the service class name declaration in the manifest must be lower-case (lost some hours with this)
