Android Question Convert byte code - optimized dex. Too Slowly

Hello,

My IDE is 5.80

Everything was perfect until today. I have Convert byte code - optimized dex. problem.

I don't know why but it became so slowly. (about 90 second)

Same project same code and nothing changed.

How can i fix it ?

Compiling code. (0.43s)
Compiling layouts code. (0.02s)
Generating R file. (0.19s)
Compiling generated Java code. (1.88s)
Convert byte code - optimized dex. (126.20s)
Optimized dexer failed. Switching to Standard dexer.

Found 16 resource files.
Signing package file (debug key). (1.35s)

i changed MaxRamForDex=512 to MaxRamForDex=1024 it doesn't help

When i try MaxRamForDex=1536 there is error about VM Java

Any help

For large project I disable Dex Optimizer.

Sorry I can't remember but something like "EnableDexOptimizer = True".

Ps: You need to exit B4A before edit .ini file.

The optimized dexer will not slow down compilation. It will make it faster as it compiles the libraries in the background and then waits until you compile your app.

If your computer is low on memory then you might want to disable it.

Are you using a library that depends on google-play-services? Have you added #ExcludedClasses?
