Hi @Erel
I'm sure this is the case for many devs here....
Imagine a complex Layout, in the early stages...
the dev start fiddling around with views and placements, and spacings, colors, etc...
One of the views, lets say, is a CLV with a compound item.
I like to create the item straigth inside a panel that represents the CLV and place a few of the to be items and change/add things to it until I'm happy with it...
But by doing it this way, I end up with one of the two cases...
1 - a cluttered main Layout, from wich I will need to extract only the views I need for my CLV item
2 - a cluttered dummy Layout that now needs to be simplified by deleting whichever views are no longer needed...
Both are time consuming and prone to errors....
So, it would be nice if we could select a "root" view and have an option to "create new layout from selected root"
I gave the CLV example, but any situation were a re-usable layout would be to be applied to a main layout kind of situation woul be a good example for this... like creating Drawer menu items....
