Hi Mondlane,
For a Database Supervisor role in a bank, I would focus on these areas first:
• SQL (queries, joins, indexes, stored procedures)
• Database backup and recovery
• Performance tuning and optimization
• Database security, user roles, and permissions
• High availability and disaster recovery concepts
• Basic database administration tasks and troubleshooting
A good practice approach is to create a small database, populate it with sample data, and then work on writing queries, backups, restores, and performance tests. Many interview assessments also include scenario-based questions, so understanding real-world database issues is important.
If you know which database platform the bank uses (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), sharing that information may help members provide more targeted guidance.
Best of luck with your preparation.
