R RichardN Well-Known Member Licensed User Longtime User Aug 12, 2014 #4 That seems to be an issue with Android apk deployment through the Play store. Software can be found that will retrieve the apk installation file, even from regular (non-rooted) devices. It is merely a short step for a user to rename the .apk as a .zip and get access to the assets stored inside. As you can imagine it will take a power-user to complete this successfully. It is one very good reason to encrypt underlying databases. Upvote 0
