In versions of Android lower that version 7.0, adjusting Ringer would also make System and Notifications also change to the same level as the adjusted Ringer level. Same thing happens if you adjust System. The Notifications and Ringer also adjust to match the System. In version 7 at least on my Samsung S7 Edge I can adjust them independently. My question this: Does this happen to all devices running on version 7? I hope so because I can now make changes to many of my apps that rely on changing those 3 volume levels. At least I don't need to worry about changing one and the others will change. Freedom at last!

I'm glad you responded because it shows I can't test for the Android version. Instead I will test to see if changing System will affect Ringer and code accordingly. It happened when I used an Umi Zero phone running Android version 5. Upvote 0
