ret = "1{234567".LastIndexOf2("{", 6)

ret = "1{234567".LastIndexOf2("{", 7)

The version number of core library is 3.00.

I'm sorry but I cannot reproduce it here. Not sure why it still happens for you. Note that there will be no performance difference unless the string is huge.
