After Corona restrictions were lifted, we had the chance to spend a weekend in Renesse (Netherlands) again.

From where I live it's just a 2 1/2 hour trip to get there. Due to environment based speed restrictions at daytime you are only allowed to drive at 60 miles/h (100 km/h) on a highway. In Germany there are non, so we feel a bit "slowed down".

For non EU members: We do not have any border controls between the countries so you are free to go where you want to go. You only notice crossing a border that the highway signs change to another laguage and a text message welcoming you. No extra costs to use your mobile phone.

they haven't decided yet what it should be I have the impression.

some highways in Holland went from 120 > 130 > 120 > 100 over the last decade.

sometimes you have a few hundreds meters going from 120 > 80 > 120 just for speed/traveltime checks.

Well here it seems they just all assume they are permanently in Germany - the limit is 0->250kph

...and the less time it takes the better.?
from 120 > 80 > 120 just for speed/traveltime checks.
here that is a revenue generation strategy.....?

I know that in Germany there is no speed limit and this is much less hypocritical than imposing limits, for example 120 km/h, but allowing the production of cars that allow you to go faster (i.e. all).

In any case, I would suggest you not to exceed 100 km/h and, mainly, keep a safe distance (especially when overtaking ? [smart rule])

Most of the time I drive 80 kmh on the highway because I always drive only low ps cars.... ?
I hope that remains for a while so with the unlimited.
