Not sure if very relevant to b4a but since it took me some time yesterday to figure it out, I thought I should share this observation (perhaps obvious to more experienced ftp users):
In my app, I give users the option to upload some files, but since I wouldn't like my personal ftp access username/password to be stored in it,, I created a new one, and gave it permission to ftp just to a certain subfolder (access point).
Now, trying to upload using the path 'ftp.mysite.com/thisCertainFolder' returned a file/folder access error (553). Changing it to simply '/thisCertainFolder', did the trick! Obvious? Perhaps yes
