Android Question global micro-freezes (on the PC) while running android virtual machine

Hi,

I'm experience "micro-freezes" when I have an AVD running.

I'm calling "micro-freezes" to system wide milliseconds stops. For example, writing this is frozen. The letters stops showing for half a second and they appears all at the same time later. Video/gifs stops reproducing for half a second too. And so on. I use nox for other stuff and this doesn't happen with nox.

Anyone experienced something like that?

Make sure that Intel HAXM is installed.

Have you used B4A Sdk Manager to create the AVD?

I recommend you to use a real device for your development. The Android emulator is far from being stable. It can be useful for some small tests.

I think I have HAXM installed. Is this telling that?

I've used B4A SDK Manager to create the AVD, yes.

I use the emulator while the app is a work in progress; I used to use the device but I had to have it plugged in all the time (in order to keep it charged if I have to go out) and the battery died fast (less than a year)

Seems to be installed.

Switch to a real device. Either with B4A-Bridge or USB debug mode.
