Android Question How does Watch work in the IDE?

I want to watch a variable so I can see where its value changes, but I can't seem to figure out how the Watch feature in the IDE works.

If I right click on a variable, the "Add Watch Expression" in the context menu is grayed out & if I type it into the textbox next to Watch, nothing happens.

I'm not using Legacy debugger btw...

Such a feature is currently not available.

The watch expression field allows you to evaluate expressions. Put a breakpoint and when the debugger pauses you can add expressions.
