I'm developing my first app in Android which automatically checks for the results of the CA State lotteries on the drawing date and alerts the user if he wins a prize. The app scans the bar-code from the ticket and uses the info for getting all the necessary details from Lottery Server. Can someone give me any idea about how to retrieve the data from the Server using this bar-code? Any URI formats that can be used or any other logic to implement this?
