How to read the chats available on Whatsapp, and then read the messages / media contained in a chat?
And similarly, how to create a chat on Whatsapp from B4A code and then write messages / media into it?
The ultimate goal is to backup on pc the Whatsapp messages contained on one phone, and restore them to another phone

Not possible. Whatsapp does not provide a Api for that.

WhatsApp backups all chats (if you activate it) to Google Drive and restores it from there on a new phone. So no need for an app.

I know the possibility of making backups on Google Drive
But your answer has nothing to do with my question
"...is to backup on pc..."

Not possible. Whatsapp does not provide a Api for that.

There are particular apps that already do these functions
And so, if whatsapp doesn't show specific api, they probably do it some other way
It must be possible to do this, we just have to figure out how

this question has been asked several times in the forum. You asked yourself recently. Multiplying the Threads doesn't help

In previous versions the archive was accessible from the main memory and with suitable decoders it was possible to decode the archive. Archives are now internal folders and cannot be read. Finally, the type of encryption used requires a decryption key and it is complex to obtain it. It is not something for everyone

The programs you are referring to that make a backup are developed on the PC that through OTP can access the internal folders of WhatsApp and make a copy of the compressed db file (and multimedia file)
From the PC it is possible to keep the files in a Cloud of your choice.
Again with the PC it is possible to take this files and bring it back to a second device by accessing the internal WhatsApp folders.

Reading and decoding this db file is something else much more complex
