How do you put an icon in a file already compiled?
Or before compiled?
I don't think you can.
In the desktop 'File', 'Choose Icon'.
Hi! You can try this software:
Exe Icon Changer -- Change icon in exe, dll, folder, driver, other type executable file; Replace/Extract exe icon!
I don´t know if exists a similar freeware.
Here's a freeware to change icon in exe:
XN Resource Editor
Works very fine!
XN works but doesn't show on the device
Why do you need to change the icon after compilation? Just set it before compiling.
I don't know how. This is for my personal use and all I get is a red square, or a Windows.
In the IDE you have in the menu
There you can choose the icon file for the program. And then compile it.
I had experienced some time ago that sometimes on the device the icon appeared only after a soft reset.
Windows Mobile OS saves the icons in a temporary cache.
If you overwrite a file with a new one (with a different icon), the icon will only be changed after making a soft-reset.
Thank's for the information Erel,
I didn't remember in what circumstances it happened.
I looked before for file/icon but didn't see it. I gues my site is about shot too Its a good thing I'm healthy. Thanks for the input.
